Call Your Doctor For.....Warning Signs- Try to stay tuned in to your body and call your doctor for anything that bothers you. What follows is a list of things you should call the doctor for:

Signs of Pre-eclampsia (toxemia)
persistent headache
blurred vision, spots in front of your eyes
sudden swelling of your hands and/or face

Signs of Placental problems
bleeding from the vagina
severe abdominal pain

Signs of Premature Labor (ar or before 37 weeks)
sudden gush of fluid from the vagina, or a slow, steady trickle
increased mucous, bloody show
cramping
low, dull, persistent backache
pelvic pressure that comes and goes
spotting or bleeding
diarrhea

Signs of Urinary Tract Infection
fever
change in urinary frequency
burning on urination

Signs of Vaginal Infection
increased mucous discharge causing itching and irritation

Other Signs of Problems
nausea or vomiting that persists
sudden change in fetal movement (either much more active or no movement over a 12 hour period)

Quiz Answer: It softens. Before pregnancy the cervix is firm like the end of your nose. The hormones of pregnancy soften it to feel more like your lip or earlobe. Then when you are preparing to go into labor it softens to a texture similar to the inside of your cheek.
